Mount Cârloman

The Stânişoarei Mountains are a distinct unit within the municipality of Piatra-Neamţ, comprising only their southern extremity. The main peak has a general NW-SE orientation, in line with the geological structure. Marls, clayey and disodic shales predominate here, sometimes covered by loess deposits. The same geological structure can be found on Mount Cârloman, the western extension of Cozla. The maximum altitude reaches 806 m at Prihodişte Peak.
